Manitoba's season-leading driving and training duo, Don Howlett and Trevor Williams, completed a sweep of this weekend's Open events at Miami with Cabo Real winning the Sunday (August 21) feature.

After teaming up to win the top distaff pace on Saturday with Gold Star Sonata, Howlett and Williams joined forces to take Sunday's $1,900 Open with Cabo Real.

The six-year-old Somebeachsomewhere gelding went wire-to-wire in 2:00.2, winning by four lengths over the dead-heat runner-ups Toucam Sam and False Advertising. The win was the second in a row for Cabo Real and the first of two in a row on the Sunday card for Howlett and Williams.
