National Caretaker Association Day Photo Contest
Published: August 15, 2023 10:30 am EDT

Do you have a special horse that you take care of? One that’s touched your heart or one you have a special connection with.

This year’s theme for the National Caretaker Appreciation Day photo contest is 'Horses & Heart Set Us Apart' and Standardbred Canada (SC) is looking for photos that depict that special horse and human connection.

If you are a caretaker working at a stable or farm in Canada, we’d love to receive a photo of you with that special horse in your care along with a short write up of what this horse means to you. (Maximum 100 words.)

Photos should be taken between Aug. 14 and Sept. 14. The Horses & Heart Photo Contest deadline to enter is Sept. 14, 2023.

All you need to do is email your photo and a short write up (100 words or less) that explains why this horse is special and how or why this horse touches your heart.

Please email your entries to Jade Regina at [email protected].

SC will select five winners from the submissions*, each of the five winners will receive the following prize package:

  • 100 (non-expiring) TrackIt credits
  • $50 gift card, sponsored by TackMaster Equipment
  • Two ball caps, sponsored by Bid & Buy

SC will also share many of the photos submitted for the contest.

(*By submitting your photos, you are giving SC permission to use the photos in print and/or online.)
