Sherie Hankins Passes

Sherie Hankins of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday (July 25) after a long illness. She was 62.

Sherie was the beloved wife of Kim Hankins, a longtime horseman that raced extensively in California and Illinois before becoming the Executive Director of the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association.

In addition to her husband, Sherie is survived by her two children, Staff Sergeant Joshua (Melonie) Hankins and Neva Hankins, and grandchildren Jackson Hankins and Rebekah Murray. She is also survived by a brother, Michael (Eva) Cotton.

She was a member of the Christian Harness Horsemen's Association.

Arrangements are being coordinated by Beinhauer Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Monday (July 31) at the Track Chapel at The Meadows at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Harness Horsemen's Association, 157 North Main Street, Salem, NH 03079 or at www.chha.net.
