Northfield Series Final To Wellsaidandone

Wellsaidandone was victorious in the $15,000 final of the Spring Break Series on Tuesday, June 3 at Northfield Park.

The sophomore pacer is trained by Northfield Park Wall of Famer Tye Loy for owner Harry Locke of Oshawa, Ont. Keith Kash Jr. was aboard for the winning drive.

Wellsaidandone (Well Said-Yenta Hanover-Dragon Again) started from the rail and let his competition set expeditious fractions of :27.1, :55.2 and 1:24.2.

Kash called upon Wellsaidandone in the backstretch. He responded by advancing from fourth and becoming the eventual winner.

Wellsaidandone bested his competition by a full length and stopped the clock in 1:54.1. The mile time represents a new lifetime mark for Wellsaidandone.

Completing the race were Western Fella, JJ Newton, Sassy Osborne, No Drama, AE Western Ingot, Western Gear, Phantom Flasher and Welcome Wagon.

Tuesday’s win was the third victory this year and fifth career score for Wellsaidandone. It bolstered his lifetime earnings to $28,548. He returned $12.40 to Win.
