For the time being, driver Wally Hennessey is back racing at Saratoga Raceway, and loving every second of it.
“I had no problem. The transition was just so simple,” Hennessey has told The Saratogian in regard to his move up from the east coast of Florida. “It was too simple, really. It worked out 110 per cent.”
In the article, the driver also touched on slots and the horse racing industry.
“They rescued us,” Hennessey said. “What we’re hoping is, as an industry, maybe this will give us another chance to make the sport as popular as it once was. Maybe it’s kind of dreaming, because it’s hard enough to sell the National Hockey League, let alone the harness racing industry.”
