Rebelryan, the only claimer in the field, won the Sunday afternoon feature race in an impressive 1:56.2

at the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre.

Marc Campbell got the call to drive from owner/trainer Kevin MacLean after regular pilot Walter Cheverie was committed to Lakota Hall, a horse he co-owns, in the same race. Lakota Hall finished second to Rebelryan, who won by an open length. Stars Xample, under the command of Terry Gallant, took the show spot for owner Catherine MacNeil.

For Rebelryan, who is a six-year-old Lisryan gelding, it was his third win in nine attempts this season. The 27th lifetime victory for the pacer, it improved his career bankroll to $43,070.

It was a memorable weekend for two new harness drivers. Nicholas Oakes, a Cornwall native, recorded his first lifetime win aboard Lofty Game on Saturday night while Corey MacPherson notched his first win driving veteran campaigner Hugh Too to victory on Sunday afternoon. The 13-year-old pacer recorded his 53rd lifetime win for trainer Leith Waite.
