The hot combination to play on Thursday night at Fredericton Raceway was horses trained by Stacy Gay and driven by Gilles Barrieau

. Taking that approach would have sent to cash tickets on three occasions during the nine-race program.

Gay and Barrieau started their winning parade in the opener with Escape Plan, who drew away to win by more than six lengths in 2:01.2. Breeze Hanover gave the duo their second trip to the winner’s circle thanks to her 2:00.1 tally in Race 5. Hello America completed the Gay/Barrieau triple when she rallied to win Race 7 in 2:01.4.

Barrieau tacked on a winning catch-drive earlier on the card in Race 4 with the Robert MacNeil trainee CR Machomacho Man in 2:01.3.

Gay has kicked off the season going 5-for-10, while Barrieau is 30-for-116 with a UDR of .426. He has finished each of the last five seasons with a UDR in excess of .400.
