Driver Jim Marino had a magical night Friday at Fraser Downs winning five of the 12 races on the card
.
Marino kicked off his five-bagger in the opener aboard the Scott Knight-trained three-year-old Spartan Law, who broke his maiden in 2:00.4. He also scored with Pink Stilettos (1:58.4) in the third race for trainer Donna Cunningham and picked up back-to-back victories with his own pupil Armbro Blacktie (1:54.3) and Western Nitro (1:56.1) for Wayne Isbister in the ninth and 10th before closing out the card with Law Of Yukon (1:57.4) for Grant Hollingsworth.
With 73 wins to his credit so far this year, Marino remains second in the Fraser Downs standings trailing Ed Hensley by 20.
