Eugene Landy's Sassas Sister was an upset winner in the $17,000 Mares Jr. Open Tuesday (May 18) at Harrington Raceway.
Edge of Eternity set fractions of :27, :55.2 and 1:23.4 while Precious Alexis applied pressure and held a slim advantage at the top of the stretch, where Sassas Sister fanned wide and was moving fastest of all to sweep by for a one-length win. Precious Alexis held second while Western Secret A finished third.

Trained by Jim Porter, it was the fifth win of the year for the six-year-old Rock N Roll Heaven. It was Sassas Sister's second upset win of the meet, as she was victorious on April 13 at 22-to-1. On this occasion, she paid $92.40 to win with Trae Porter in the sulky.
Allan Davis and Montrell Teague each had 3 wins on the card. Mike Cole had a double.
