Updated: Four-Horse Spill In Western Fair Raceway's Opener

A four-horse pile-up occurred during Friday's first race at Western Fair Raceway sending two drivers to hospital

Strident Hanover (Dave Wall) stumbled on the last turn and fell causing a chain reaction. The trailing three horses involved in the pile-up were My Buddy Gary (Robert Sparling Jr.), Devilwithabackpack (Trevor Henry) and The Gormanizor (Greg Campbell).

Both Dave Wall and Rob Sparling Jr. were transported to local hospital for examination.

Early reports from Western Fair indicate that Wall suffered a fractured ankle. Sparling Jr. is awaiting x-rays and also has a suspected fractured ankle.
