Barn Destroyed In Fire At Cool Winds Farm

Multiple reports from Ohio indicate that a fire destroyed a barn full of straw and equipment early Monday morning (April 3) at Randy and Kim Haines's Standardbred breeding farm Cool Winds Farm in Lima.

According to local media reports, no people or horses were injured in the barn fire that brought nine local fire departments to the scene.

"A big thank you too all firemen and departments that came to help," said a statement posted Monday on the farm's Facebook page. "Also thank you to our friends and family for supplying everything we need for now."

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
