A six-figure yearling in 2022, Muscone made her three-year-old debut in advance of a possible stakes appearance next week and looks to factor after a gate-to-wire triumph in the featured $18,000 conditioned trot at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday, April 25.

Driver Louis-Philippe Roy sent the Meg Crone student straight to the top from post five. Muscone controlled the timer through panels in :27.4, :56.4 and 1:24.4. She faced a challenge in the stretch from Ready For Landing (Anthony MacDonald) and favoured Elegant Resolve (James MacDonald), but she crossed the wire three-quarters of a length in front in 1:54.1. Ready For Landing took second with Elegant Resolve taking the show spot.

Bill Donovan owns the sophomore Muscle Mass-Jangone filly, a winner in her seasonal debut to provide her second career triumph. A $110,000 London Selected Sale yearling, Muscone is one of 30 SBOA Filly Trot eligibles, with eliminations for that stakes race coming up next Friday, May 3 at Mohawk.

Off at 13-1 odds, Muscone returned $27.20 to her backers.

The win for Roy was part of a Thursday night hat trick.
