Fresh off his milestone celebrations, horseman Rod Hennessy made multiple return appearances in the Century Downs winner's circle on Sunday afternoon (April 15).
Hennessy opened the program with a victory aboard first-time winner Flash Your Lights ($4.80), a three-year-old Camluck colt, and then won back-to-back races beginning in the fifth with four-year-old gelding Outlaw Blue Ice ($8.30) and three-year-old gelding Cheddar Jack ($4.20). It was a also big day for Lorne Duffield, who shares ownership of all three winners -- the first two with Hennessy and the latter with Diane Harries.
Winning three of his five Sunday starts, which accounted for one-third of the afternoon's races, Hennessy pushed his career training win total to 2,004. The Falun, Alberta horseman passed the 2,000-win mark on Saturday. As a driver, he has recorded 2,814 wins lifetime.
