The Ottawa Citizen recently ran a story which theorized that the 2007 killing of harness racing participant Randy Rankin could have been the work of a serial killer. Now, the paper has published a continuation to the story.
The continuation – entitled ‘Unsolved in the Ottawa Valley, Part 2’ – explains that the location of Rankin’s Morewood, Ont. home is very close to where a suspicious fire killed a man in his pickup truck in 2002. The home is also very close to where human remains were found in 2014.
The follow-up story also paints the picture that the deaths could be tied to the work of a serial arsonist.
