As an added attraction for customers who will be attending the upcoming live harness racing season at Plainridge Park that kicks off on Monday, April 15, the racing division at Plainridge will be offering a series of six handicapping contests that have a total value of $37,500 USD and will run from March through September.

The contests are free to enter but you must be at least 18 years of age to play. Entry forms will be available at the program stand at the track starting at 4 p.m. the day prior to each contest.

The slate of races being offered covers some of the premier events on this year’s racing schedule and will offer a real challenge for the field of players. There are five preliminary legs of this contest with a bonus “Invitational” round to close it out. Anyone entering any four of the five 2024 handicapping contests from March 30 through Aug. 24 will receive an automatic entry to participate in the Invitational.

“We wanted to do something extra for our loyal customers who support the live racing product everyday and felt this was a great way to provide a chance to win some big money at no cost to them," said Steve O’Toole, Director of Live Racing at Plainridge Park. "Plus it is a season-long contest with a final that will keep them engaged over the course of our meet. Hopefully, it is well received and becomes an annual promotion moving forward.”

Full contest rules will be available on site each day. For more information, email Mutuels Manager Andrew Tavares at [email protected] or Racing Services Manager Lenny Calderone at [email protected].
