Ladys Dude, the 3-5 favourite, enjoyed a second-quarter breather, then jogged to victory in Wednesday’s (Dec. 21) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $15,400 conditioned trot.
Once Dave Palone worked that :30 panel for Ladys Dude, the race for win was effectively owner. Ladys Dude scored in 1:55, a half length better than Mind Yown Business in the Lightning Lane, with Fawn De Touch a rallying third. It was one of four wins for Palone on the 13-race card.
Ron Burke trains Ladys Dude, an 11-year-old Victory Sam-Ladys Star gelding who now boasts a career bankroll of $912,904, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Johnny Yoder.
