Travis Cullen's trainees Feelin Flush and Sing Like An Angel dominated this week's $8,400 Fillies & Mares Open Pace at Alberta Downs, finishing first and second in the Saturday feature for the 22-year-old horseman.

G Ts Selene and driver Bill Tainsh Jr. tried to go wire-to-wire, leading the six-horse field through fractions of :28.1, :57.4 and 1:27, but had to settle for third after the Cullen mares swept by down the stretch. Feelin Flush, the overwhelming 1-5 favourite, kicked home in :27.1 off a three-hole trip to prevail by more than three lengths. Sing Like An Angel and Philip Giesbrecht circled up from last, briefly catching cover from her stablemate, on her way to securing the runner-up honours.

Feelin Flush now boasts back-to-back wins in the Open and a total of 11 victories in 23 starts this year for Cullen and co-owner Ken Hanson of Strathclair, MB. Lifetime, the six-year-old daughter of As Promised has won 32 races while banking nearly $230,000 in purses.
