Plane Rammie turned on the jets early before dropping the landing gear and coming in for a smooth landing en route to capturing Sunday evening’s Xtreme Sprint at
Flamboro Downs.
Plane Rammie shot to the lead from his pole position perch and never looked back. He sliced out a :26.4 opening quarter and then used a :29.1 second stanza to seal the deal for teamster James ‘Jampie’ MacDonald and trainer Beryl Fagan. Dolce And Gapanna was next best, with Major Wager grabbed third prize.
Mario Grech of Moffat, ON holds the ownership papers on the seven-year-old son of Rambaran who is now a three-time winner this season. He has banked more than $58,000 to date.

Kawartha Downs and Western Fair Raceway will each host legs of the Xtreme Sprint on Tuesday, November 2.
The Xtreme Sprint is open to pacers, four years old and upwards that have started in an $8,000 or less claiming event at a racetrack in Ontario after August 31, 2010.
The top nine point earners from the Xtreme Sprint legs will advance to the $20,000 championship, a one-lap, five-eighths-of-one-mile dash, at Georgian Downs on November 16.
