Details on the appeal of trainer Bill Elliott filed to the Ontario Racing Commission to reduce his fine and suspension were released Tuesday.

Elliott received a ten-year suspension and $40,000 fine back in 2008 for a EPO positive with pacing filly Michelles Power. Elliott appealed the ten-year suspension in June 2008 and the hearing took place last month. Not only was Elliott's appeal denied, but the fine was "varied and set at $60,000".
