After having been appointed to Ohio's Casino Control Commission by governor Ted Strickland on October 8, Harness Tracks of America reported today that Michael H. Bolte has already quit.

According to the report, Bolte, a 30-year veteran of the Cincinnati police department, lasted just 11 days on his new job.

Bolte reportedly said he decided to retire from his new job for unspecified personal reasons.

Another former Cincinnati cop, John L. Wainscott, has been named as a new Republican commission member replacing Bolte.
