Drivers Unseated In GRR Accident

Two drivers were unseated during a Friday night racing accident at Grand River Raceway.

The incident occurred in the fourth race during the track's meet closing night when the leading Market Alert (Bob McClure) broke stride at the top of the stretch. He caused interference to pocket-sitter Mojito Mint (George Large) and trailing Larocque Star (Jean Bernard Renaud), who both dumped their drivers. Mojito Mint also fell during the incident.

Reports from Grand River indicate horses and drivers involved left the track under their own power.
