Hensley Leads At Fraser

Ed Hensley maintained his early lead in the trainer’s and driver’s standings at Fraser Downs for 2010 with a productive work day on Sunday

A training triple with Western Reality (1:57) in the second race, Custom Crafted (1:57.3) in the sixth race and Whitesand Lord (1:55.2) in the 10th race finale bumped his yearly win total to 19 and earnings to over $100,000. Hensley’s training average sits at an impressive 0.517.

The 43-year-old horseman drove all three winners as well as the Leopold Labelle-trained Meter Maid (1:57.3), who prevailed in the eighth race. On the driving side, Hensley has recorded 36 wins good for earnings over $162,000 and a 0.451 average.
