While Foiled Again might have the earnings edge on European trotter Ready Cash for the moment, Ready Cash could make history in more ways than one this coming Sunday in the 93rd edition of the Prix d'Amerique in Paris, France.

A field of 18 of the best trotters in the world, including the past three winners, have assembled for Sunday's historic race. Europe's richest trotting race with a purse of €1 million is competed over a distance of 2,700 metres or just over 1-5/8 miles.

Ready Cash was second in last year's event to Royal Dream and both trotters will vie for victory yet again. A win for Ready Cash would place the stallion in the elite category of three-time winners along with trotting legends Uranie, Roquépine and Bellino II. Ourasi boasts the most Prix d'Amerique wins with four.

With career earnings after conversion to US dollars at $5.87-million, Ready Cash could pass Foiled Again ($6.03-million US) as the richest active standardbred with a win or second-place finish on Sunday.
