Rise Up Now dominated a field of Preferred 3 pacers, leading wire-to-wire in the $7,500 feature event on a foggy Sunday evening (January 22) at Flamboro Downs.

Driven by Alfie Carroll, Rise Up Now left sharply from the outside post seven to take the lead and cruised through panels of :27.3, :56.1 and 1:25.2 on his way to victory in 1:55.2.

Send postward as the 7-2 third choice, he paid $9.40 to win. Even-money favourite Bali finished three lengths behind the winner in second while 18-1 shot Tero rounded out the top three finish order.

Rise Up Now, a winner in both of his Flamboro starts this year, has won 16 races lifetime and $250,000 in purses.

The five-year-old Somebeachsomewhere-Northwestern gelding is trained by Richard Moreau and owned by Brad Grant of Milton, Ont. Rise Up Now topped off a successful weekend for the winning connections, who also swept Saturday night's Preferred events at Woodbine Racetrack.
