Night Of Champions Draw Info

Officials with the Harness Horse Breeders of New York State have released some of the important details for those that are looking to enter their horses to contest the New York Sire Stakes Night of Champions races and the NYSS Consolations.

Complete information appears below.


(Three-Year-Olds Only)

There will be double entries taken for NYSS finals and NYSS Consolations in Vernon on Wednesday, September 14 at 9:00 a.m.

The top eight point-earning horses entered will be forwarded to Yonkers for the regular scheduled NOC draw on Tuesday, September 20 (to coincide with the two-year-old draw). You do not need to re-enter your horse.

Any horse entered at Vernon that needs to re-qualify for the NYSS Final will have until the actual Yonkers post position draw on Tuesday, September 20 by 9:00 a.m. to do so.
The next group of nine point earners will be drawn into the consolations at Vernon on September 17.

If there are not at least six entries in a consolation it will be cancelled.


(Two-Year-Olds Only)

There will be double entries taken for NYSS and NYSS Consolations at Yonkers on Tuesday, September 20 by 9:00 a.m.

The top eight point-earning horses entered will draw into the NYSS final and the next group of eight point earners will be drawn into the consolations at Saratoga for September 29.

Any horse entered at Yonkers on Tuesday, September 20 that needs to re-qualify for the two-year-old NYSS consolation at Saratoga will have until the actual Saratoga post position draw on Friday, September 23 by 4:00 p.m. to do so. You do not need to re-enter your horse.

If there are not at least six entries in a consolation it will be cancelled.


Excelsior Finals

All Excelsior Finals will follow regular draw schedules at the respective tracks.
