Harness Racing PEI Investigation Expected To End Soon

According to an article in The Journal Pioneer, the Charlottetown City Police investigation into alleged missing funds at Harness Racing PEI may be coming to an end soon

.

The article states that the investigation is expected to conclude by the end of the month. Deputy police chief Richard Collins said police are waiting for banking records.

In September, Harness Racing PEI called the capital police to investigate after an internal review raised concerns over missing funds. An employee that was subsequently investigated had earlier left the company.

“I would hope and anticipate those records will be turned over and we will be able to put this matter behind us from the investigative standpoint by the end of January,” said Collins.
