Funeral Arrangements Made For Andre Villeneuve
Trot Insider has learned that horseman Andre Villeneuve of Sudbury, Ont. passed away unexpectedly this morning at Sudbury Hospital. He was 59.
Andre is the husband of Judy Villeneuve and was in his third year of serving on Standardbred Canada's Audit and Governance Committee.
This past summer, Andre had gone down in a racing spill while going a trip with a horse in the Sudbury Downs backstretch. His bike had broken, resulting in a shattered ankle. He was in a cast for more than two months.
Villeneuve underwent surgery yesterday to have a plate put in his leg/ankle.
The visitation will take place on Sunday, December 14 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home on Paris St. in Sudbury. The funeral will be held on Monday, December 15 at 11:30 a.m.

I served with Andre on Standardbred Canada's Audit & Governance committee for the las two years. Andre was dedicated and extremely knowledgeable and a good friend. We will miss him.
How sad...very nice
How sad...very nice couple....I dealt with them when they donated a horse to OSAS many years ago.,Always concerned about their horses welfare.....godspeed Andre
