Mainstream TV Features On 'The Beach'

The Woodbine Entertainment Group has announced that The Score Television Network, Sportsnet, CTV and TSN will all be airing features on Somebeachsomewhere leading up to his final start on Canadian soil.

That start comes this Saturday at Woodbine Racetrack, as 'The Beach' has drawn Post 3 for his $300,000 division of the Ontario Sires Stakes Super Finals. There will be a total of eight Super Final dashes, each carrying a purse of $300,000. Somebeachsomewhere's race has been carded as the seventh of the evening.

The CTV segment will be aired tonight during the Six O'Clock news, which will be seen in the Toronto market and selected affiliates across the country.

Tomorrow, driver Paul MacDonell will guest on The Fan590's morning show, while co-owner/trainer Brent MacGrath will join 'Stormin' Norman Rumack tomorrow night at midnight.

Dave Perkins of The Toronto Star will also have a piece on 'The Beach' in its Friday edition.

First race post time is 7:30 p.m. for Super Final night. Early arrivals will have a chance to meet Paul MacDonell during an autograph session and poster giveaway from 6:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

My hat's off to the connections of such a great animal specially to the groom and J.L. Arsenault who have done such a great job through the BEACH'S 2 yr old campain. We do not hear anything about Mr. Arsenault, who as the trainer of this amazing animal during his 2 yr old campain, never was defeated. Just thought that Mr. Arsenault deserves a little credit in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more. J.L. deserves some credit in the training of this wonder horse.
I just wish I could have seen one of his races in person. Always watch video, it's so exciting
to watch him race. Can't wait to see his babies.
