Heinikin Bythebay Scores In Harrington Open

KDK Standardbreds' Heinkin Bythebay was a 1:52 winner in the featured $20,000 Open Pace on Monday at Harrington Raceway.

The four-year-old Southwind Lynx gelding was a wire-to-wire victor from post seven for driver Art Stafford, Jr.  It was the same post he prevailed from last start on May 1. Trained by Kevin Switzer, Heinkin Bythebay held off a late charge from Bodega Bay for his sixth win of the year. Lyons Music finished third. 

Heinikin Bythebay, who was a Delaware sire stakes champion at ages two and three, boosted his lifetime earnings to $385,775.  He paid $3.40 to win.

Driver Tony Morgan won the first three races on the card with On The Cards N ($4.20), Ronaldo ($4) and All The Chips ($3). Morgan later won a fourth with American Zestar ($3.60). Allan Davis and Corey Callahan each had driving doubles.

There will be a Superfecta carryover ($2,866.28) to start the Tuesday program. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
