Yonkers Raceway's Friday night fare featured the usual tandem of $42,500 Open Handicaps

.

Raving through the raindrops in the weekly distaff derby, sharp newbie Jasperthat A (Ryan Anderson) took it to the house.

Leaving from post position No. 4, she threw down the gauntlet through intervals of :28.1, :57.1, 1:25.2 and 1:54. The back half was effectively a match race, as timid 2-1 choice Hannah Isabel (Cat Manzi) offered a stern challenge, but missed by three-quarters of a length. Symphony In Motion (Jeff Gregory), Shacked Up (Jason Bartlett) and Maries Z Tam (Steve Smith) completed the cashers, but none ever threatened.

For Jasperthat A, a six-year-old Down Under daughter of Village Jasper trained by Joe Anderson for himself (as part of Anderson Racing) and Gerrie Tucker, she returned $7.20 (second choice) for her ninth victory in 21 seasonal starts (four-for-five at Yonkers since being imported). The exacta paid $32, with the triple returning $179.

The weatherman was a bit more cooperative for the marquee trot, where Manzi exacted a measure of revenge with Pricevalleyrevitup in 1:57.3.

Leaving from post No. 3, "Pricevalley" tailed KLM Express (Jim Marshall III) and fractions of :28.2, :58.3 and 1:27.3. Summertime Yankee (Brent Holland), the 2-1 favourite, was weak first-up, while Pembroke Prayer (Tyler Buter) didn't fire off cover. Pricevalleyrevitup ducked inside, winning by a half-length, with DCs Piggy Bank (Eric Goodell), Pembroke Prayer and Wind Surfer (Jim Pantaleano) also making money.

For Pricevalleyrevitup, a four-year-old Revenue S gelding trained by Nicholas Drennan for Ontario co-owners Aden Peake and Rhonda Rich, he returned $15.20 (fifth choice) for his seventh win in 20 '10 tries (two-for-three since crossing the border). The exacta paid $104.50, with the triple returning $368.50.
