While making that move, however, Perfect Trick caused interference to Elm Grove Camrose (Mike Downey), who was positioned fourth on the outside. Although he crossed the wire with nearly two lengths to spare, Perfect Trip was placed fourth, handing the win to Trishas Beauty, who was next in line, in a time of 1:59.1. Caras Allamerican and Elm Grove Camrose were bumped up one position each to second and third as a result of the placing.
