SC Implements Vaccination Policy

In the interest of the safety and well being of members, stakeholders and employees, Standardbred Canada has implemented a Vaccination Policy for its full-time and part-time employees, contractors, Racing Services representatives, and Identification Technicians.

Under the new policy, all individuals who are working for Standardbred Canada, and acting on behalf of Standardbred Canada at its offices and assigned locations, will have provided proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or have been subject to Rapid Antigen Testing.

In addition, Standardbred Canada has implemented numerous health and safety measures in all staffed locations.

Visitors to Standardbred Canada’s head office in Mississauga, Ont., and other locations, where in-person business with Standardbred Canada is being conducted, must follow the measures indicated at the location, or by Standardbred Canada personnel at the time of visit.

Anyone who requires staying longer than the time it takes to make a drop-off, will be asked to show proof of vaccination and photo ID, or a recent negative test (taken within 48 hours of the interaction) and photo ID.

“Longer” stays may include meetings, driver or trainer testing, etc., as deemed by Standardbred Canada.

Field Technicians fall under the Vaccination Policy and will require measures as the situation dictates, based on public health protocols.

Standardbred Canada encourages members to use eShop and its online services as much as possible, and if in doubt of protocols, to call Standardbred Canada in advance of any in-person visit or interaction.
