Georgian Welcomes Back Fans Sunday

Georgian Downs is excited to announce the re-opening of its onsite teletheatre for simulcast wagering on Sunday, August 1.

Operating hours will be: Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (teller service available), Mondays & Tuesdays 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (self-service wagering only), Wednesdays and Thursdays 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., teller service 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. 

The simulcast area will have a maximum capacity of 20 customers on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Customers entering the simulcast area must provide contact information, wear an appropriate face covering at all times and practice physical distancing.
 
Georgian Downs will also welcome back customers for live racing starting Sunday, August 1 to its outdoor tarmac viewing area. Self-service terminals will be available for wagering purposes.  There will be a 250 maximum capacity on the tarmac for live racing on a first-come-first-serve basis. Customers attending the live races will be required to provide contact information upon entry and wear an appropriate face covering at all times.
 
The track's big race day is set for Sunday, August 22 with the running of the $75,000 Honourable Earl Rowe Trot.  In addition, this year Georgian will also card a special four-year-old Invitation Pace carrying a purse of $100,000.
