Albert White Passes

Trot Insider has learned that horseman Albert Kennedy White has passed away.

White passed on Jan. 12, aged 79. Born Oct. 27, 1941 in North Noel Road, Albert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Paulette; his children, Charlie (Elizabeth), Annette (Ian), and Ross (Glenda); several grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; his sisters, Mary Lou and Kathy.

Albert was predeceased by his parents, Melbourne "Bun" and Catherine White; his brothers, Gary and Arden. He was also predeceased by his sister Doris who passed away from cancer just hours before his passing.

Albert retired from the paper industry after 38 years of service. In his spare time, Albert enjoyed horse racing and training at Sackville Downs and Windsor Raceway, Ontario. He also enjoyed a good game of golf, playing cards and reading a good Western. A special thank you to Dr. Patrick Fok, and nurses, Jessica Gray and Emma Etienne at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Emergency Department. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Albert's memory to a charity of your choice.
