Bettor Trix N Reaches At Dover

Bettor Trix N rode the pocket to victory in Wednesday night's (Jan. 15) featured race at Dover Downs, a $16,000 winners-over distaff pace.

Valuable Art and driver Corey Callahan left alertly from post 8 led the field to the quarter in :27.2 while Bettor Trix N rode the pocket. The field raced single file until Shezza GNP N pulled first-over from fourth nearing a :56.2 half.

Valuable Art and Shezza GNP N battled through a :26.3 third quarter while stalked by 6-5 favourite Bettor Trix N and Tim Tetrick, who emerged late to win by a head in a lifetime best 1:51.3. Valuable Art was second, while the ground-saving Sweet Bobbie finished third.

Jim King Jr. trains Bettor Trix N, a six-year-old Bettors Delight mare, for JoAnn Looney-King. Tim Tetrick capped a driving grand slam with the featured win.
