Ohio OHHA 2020 Banquet Details

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association and United States Trotting Association’s District 1 Annual Awards Banquet will be held January 18, 2020 at the Marriott Columbus University Area Hotel, 3100 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43202.

Ten divisional horse winners will be honoured at the Annual Banquet as well as the naming of the 2019 Ohio Horse of the Year. The OHHA will also present the Dick Brandt Sr. Extra Effort Award, the Terry Holton Youth Award, the 2019 Outstanding Groom Award, the Maynard & Stella Hagemeyer Significant Contribution Award and OHHA Special Recognition Awards.

The USTA District 1 annual meeting will also be held on Saturday.

Prior to the awards banquet, the annual First Lady’s Luncheon will take place Saturday afternoon. Guest speaker, Jamie Foltz, founder of “Do Gooder,” will provide insight and details into the Columbus-area media company with a goal to, “inspire, motivate and recognize the good in our community.” The Ladies will work on donation bags for the homeless and domestic violence victims.

A stallion auction to benefit P.A.C.E.R. will take place. The auction will begin on January 6 with online bidding available. Phone bidding will be available beginning January 18 at 9:00 a.m. by calling 614-221-3650 or 800-353-6442. Online and telephone bidding will close at 5:00 p.m.

Tickets to the banquet are $30 each and can be purchased by calling the OHHA office at 614-221-3650. Reservation forms are also available on the OHHA website.
