Third Qualifier For Wiggle It Jiggleit

Wiggle It Jiggleit, 2015 Harness Horse of the Year, continues his comeback in a Tuesday morning (Sept. 3) qualifying session at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

Wiggle It Jiggleit posted a 1:53.4 qualifying victory, rushing home in :27 at Harrah's Philadelphia two weeks ago. Last week at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono he was third, timed in 1:54.2, after setting the pace.

Driver Montrell Teague is set to reclaim his usual spot behind Wiggle It Jiggleit, who starts from post six in the sixth of Philly’s nine qualifiers on Tuesday, and his race should go somewhere near 11 a.m.

Now seven, the altered son of Mr Wiggles and Mozzi Hanover won his only start at two, then won 22 of 26 starts and almost $2.2 million at three en route to being named 2015 Harness Horse of the Year. At four, he posted 15 wins and 7 second-place finishes in 24 starts, worth another $1.7 million, and made his last start on Oct. 28, 2016 in his Breeders Crown, cutting the pace then getting caught by three-quarters of a length by his successor as Harness Horse of the Year, Always B Miki.

His lifetime earnings currently stand at $3,907,557, and he took his present mark of 1:47.2 on July 9 of his four-year-old season, winning the Graduate Final. His all-time track record at Harrah's Philadelphia, 1:47.3, got a scare on Sunday (Sept. 1) when Shartin N, the mare who right now is the favourite to succeed Wiggle It Jiggleit as Horse of the Year four years afterwards, paced a 1:48 mile.

Clyde Francis continues to train the champion in the George Teague Jr. stable.
