Eclipse Me N Clicks For 'Team Allard'
The Real Desire mare Eclipse Me N continued to show that she has the winning knack as she was victorious in the $17,500 mares pacing feature on Tuesday night at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono.
Driver Simon Allard, sulky sitting for trainer/brother Rene, worked out a fine second-over trip with Eclipse Me N, coming her own last half in :54.4 to be a length clear of pocket sitter Monica Gallagher at the end of the 1:51 journey. A winner of four of her last seven starts and an eight-time winner in 2018 for owners Allard Racing Inc, Yves Sarrazin and Donald MacRae, Eclipse Me N now has earnings of $84,460 for the season and $167,619 lifetime.
To the surprise of virtually no one, driver George Napolitano, Jr. continued his victorious ways, posting four triumphs on the Tuesday card to run his four-day racing week total at the mountain oval to 16. Adding in Friday and Sunday action at Harrah’s Philadelphia, Napolitano has registered 24 wins in the last five days and has moved ahead of Dan Noble to take over third in the North American standings, behind Aaron Merriman and Ron Wrenn Jr.
