Winter Speed Sale Cancelled

Officials with the Blooded Horse Sales Company have announced that the Winter Speed Sale, which was scheduled to take place on Monday, February 12 at the Delaware (Ohio) Fairgrounds, has been cancelled.

The cancellation has come due to issues and fear among horsepeople on the premises in regard to the Equine Herpes Virus (EHV) outbreak that has stricken some horses in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Officials with the Blooded Horse Sales Company were informed this morning (Sunday, February 4) by Tom Wright that the sale will not be allowed to take place on the fairgrounds.

Blooded Horse Sales Company officials have thus had to cancel the Winter Speed Sale.

Trot Insider will update this story when more information becomes available.
