Monticello Handicapping Contest

Monticello Raceway in conjunction with the Monticello Harness Horseman’s Association will host a qualifying leg for the $50,000 World Harness Handicapping Championship on Thursday March 30.

The winner of the qualifying leg will compete in the $50,000 final at the Meadowlands on April 29, valued at $800. The Monticello Harness Horseman’s Association will provide $200 for travel expenses to the Meadowlands.

Participants will have to select one horse in each of the card’s 10 races. There is no entry fee for the contest and participants are allowed one entry per person. Cash prizes in the form of a betting voucher will be awarded to those who finish second ($125) and third ($75.00).

“We are extremely pleased to offer one of our lucky customers the chance to participate in the World Harness Handicapping Contest,” said Monticello Raceway Director of Simulcasting Maureen Flynn.

Rules for the contest can be found on monticelloraceway.com.
