TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR 2016 REGIONAL DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIP HANDICAPPING CONTESTS
1. The Handicapping Contests for the Ontario, Atlantic, and Western Regional Driving Championships will be conducted between Thursday, June 23, 2016 and Sunday, June 26, 2016 with entry open until noon (MST) on Sunday, June 26 for the Western Regional. The Handicapping Contest for the Quebec / Eastern Ontario Regional will be conducted from Sunday, July 10 to Tuesday, July 12, 2016 with entry open until 6:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. No purchase is necessary. There is no cost to register. Contest is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older as of the date of registration, is an I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club member and has Internet access at time of registration. The contest is void in whole where prohibited by law.
2. The contest will close for entries as follows:
► 5:30 p.m. (EST) on Friday, June 24, 2016 for the Ontario Regional Handicapping contest.
► 5:00 p.m. (AST) on Saturday, June 25, 2016 for the Atlantic Regional Handicapping Contest.
► 12:00 p.m. (MST) on Sunday, June 26 for the Western Regional Handicapping Contest
► 6:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, July 12 for the Quebec / Eastern Ontario Regional Handicapping Contest.
3. Players will receive 10 points for correctly selecting the winning driver of each RDC and 5 points for correctly selecting the driver who finishes in second position in each RDC.
4. The winner will be determined by adding all points that a player earns throughout all four RDC handicapping contests, with a possible 60 points available for a perfect score. (15 points total can be earned in each contest). In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by blind draw.
5. In the event of a driver change in one of the Regional Driving Championships after the start of the contest, the contestant will receive the driver's replacement.
6. Winner will be contacted via e-mail at the e-mail address or phone number provided on the entry form.
7. Submissions with incomplete, bogus or invalid names and/or e-mail addresses will not be accepted.
8. Only one entry will be accepted per individual and e-mail address for each of the four regional contests. Multiple entries will result in immediate disqualification. SC reserves the right to disqualify any contestant which SC believes has submitted more than one entry.
9. Employees, Directors and immediate family (who reside at the same residence) of Standardbred Canada, or the four participating racetracks (Grand River Raceway, Century Downs, Red Shores Properties, and Hippodrome 3R) or any provincial racing commission are not eligible for this contest.
10. No faxed, mailed, electronically mailed, or phoned-in entries are allowed.
11. SC assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, ineligible or mutilated entries. SC is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable hardware or software or telephone transmission or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmission or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of SC and will not be returned.
12. SC reserves the sole right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to this contest.
13. Anything not covered in these rules will be ruled on by the management of SC and their decision will be final and binding.
14. Contestants, by entering the contest, agree to be bound by the above rules and regulations.
PRIZE: A $50.00 gift certificate to the Canadian harness racetrack of the winner’s choice and a $50 Fan Club swag package.
