Next Up Is London
We were all very pleased and excited with how Shadow did in his first start at Mohawk on Sunday past. He is now having 3 days in the paddock and some jogging and a training session this weekend.
He will not race again until May 22 in the eliminations for the Molson Pace. I need to keep him good and fresh now for all the big races upcoming in the next 3 months. For those who noticed, he did wear shin boots on Sunday and will wear them again on London's tight turns. This is the first time he wore any boots except sometimes to train.
Baycairn Training Center has a great facility and Shadow now has a double stall there.
B-Mac With Bettor Sweet
B-Mac
With Bettor Sweet laying down a 1:47 and change mile and Shadow Play beat up on Bettor Sweet during the latter part of 2008, it'll be interesting to see if Shadow Play improves as well and better his world record(5f track) 1:48.2 delivered at Pocono last year. The 2009 older male group should be competitive and then some.
