John Campbell's Million-Dollar Moments: John's Opinion

Most Surprising? Hilarion,
1982 Meadowlands Pace

"The most surprising and shocking. The circumstances, the 10 hole, that he was unheralded compared to the other colts in there and the trip just worked out perfectly. That was the only way he could have won that race."

Most Rewarding? Tagliabue,
1995 Hambletonian

"With Jim training him and the family aspect of it. My Mom and Dad were here for it, and my whole family -- Paula and the girls were there. That was special for sure."

Most Impressive? The Panderosa,
1999 Meadowlands Pace

"He drew the 10 hole and basically never saw the wood, never saw cover and drew off in the stretch. I think that would be the most impressive one."
