Life In A Day: Just Imagine!
Quite possibly the coolest thing since sliced bread, Life In A Day is a bandwagon I hope someone from the harness racing community will jump on with reckless abandon.
Produced by Ridley Scott (the man kind enough to bring us Russell Crowe in tight-fitting Gladiator and Robin Hood garbs) Life In A Day is an historic, global, cinematic experiment.
Partnering with YouTube, and director Kevin MacDonald, Scott challenges everyone on July 24 to capture one day of your life on film.
The most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into an experimental documentary film which will be shown at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and released to millions of viewers on YouTube. (Imagine the exposure!)
So, whether you’re racing a $5,000 claimer at Hanover Raceway, or starting in the Maple Leaf Trot at Mohawk, please consider documenting your life this Saturday.
Whatever your role, whatever your success . . . The beauty of a documentary is in the details, and harness racing lives are chalked full of those beautiful, complicated details.
The odds are slim of any of us making the final cut. But, we all know how odds go, don’t we?!
