A solid competitor in her own right, Solveig (Yankee Glide - Exquisite Amanda) raced from 2004 to 2007 and earned more than $930,000 for trainer Jimmy Takter and owners Christina Takter, John Fielding, Anderberg Stable and Fred Hertrich. Her biggest win came in the 2004 Oakville Stakes at Mohawk Racetrack and she captured an O'Brien Award for her rookie season.
Owned by Christina Takter and Solveigs Breeders of East Windsor, N.J., Solveig has produced offspring that have earned more than $5.8 million while successfully competing internationally. Those talented trotters include two-time Breeders Crown winner, Dan Patch Two-Year-Old and Three-Year-Old Trotting Filly of the Year (2013-2014) and 2014 Trotter of the Year, world champion Shake It Cerry 3,1:51.2 ($2,863,184), millionaire Uncle Lasse 3,1:51.4f ($1.2 million), European stakes winner Solvato ($850,823) and two-year-old world record setter Dontyouforgetit 3,1:52.1f ($598,049).
