Dear John,
Hey John,
I'm away racing with Amy and the kids in the states. We won't be back in time for Clinton.
The mare you're driving for us is pretty good, she has good gate speed and respects a breather rather well.
If you get a chance to control the race for a bit they likely won't beat her.
Every young man and woman in this industry grew up watching you, wanting to be you. I was interviewed when I won my first race ever at Blue Bonnets in Montreal, the announcer asked who I watched and idolized growing up, I answered the same way everyone in the last 30 years did: John Campbell.
It's been a pleasure watching you and a huge honour having you end your career driving one of our horses.
Good luck, and thank you for everything,
Anthony MacDonald
