The Meadowlands Racetrack has issued a reminder to horsepeople regarding the track's supporting feature races for the upcoming Breeders Crown races.
There will be four (4) separate mini-series for three-year-olds of both sexes and gaits. The conditions for the series will be horses that have not earned $100,000 in 2014. Purses for the eliminations will be $20,000, with an estimated $50,000 final. The races will include a one-time $500 starting fee.
The three-year-old colt and filly trotters will compete in their eliminations on Friday, November 14, with the finals to be contested on Friday, November 21.
The three-year-old colt and filly pacers have eliminations on Friday, November 21 and the finals on Saturday, November 29, which is the night of the TVG Free For All Championships.
In addition, there will be four (4) separate four-year-old open events for pacers, trotters, mare pacers and mare trotters, carrying a $40,000 purse on Saturday, November 22.
Lastly, any overnight events that are used on either Friday, November 21 or Saturday, November 22 will carry a 20 per cent increase above the standard purse.
