Plans are in the works for a Family Day program at Red Shores Summerside, presented by Prince County Horsemen’s Club on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 9.
The family activities will run from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. with first race post time at 1:00 p.m.. A number of free activities for the kids will be offered; Michael Pendergast will be providing children's entertainment, there will be free activity books courtesy of Standardbred Canada and a face-painter will be on-site.
Red Shores Summerside will be sponsoring a special draw for one family to win the chance to present the Thanksgiving Day cooler and receive a complimentary picture of their Winner’s Circle appearance. They will also be serving free Thanksgiving cake and a special Thanksgiving menu. Upstairs at the Oval Dining Room there will be a specially priced Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Buffet.
