Trot Insider has learned that Standardbred owner Carol Ann Little passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, Ont. on Monday, September 25 at the age of 71.
Carol is the beloved wife of 55 years to George Little. Loving mother of Kathy Ferguson (Rob) of Mooretown, Tammy Warner (Bill) of Courtright, Allan Little (Brenda) of Sarnia. Caring mother-in-law of Julie Dobson of Coruuna. Treasured grandmother of Nic, Lacy, Daniel, Carley, Craig, Mike, Justin, Brian, Jessica, Lynsie and Bobbi-Geo and great-grandmother of Blayne, Ava, Sophia and Trent. Dearest sister of Shary Walton (Norm) of Sarnia and Brenda Nettleton (Mike) of Rondeau Park. Carol is also survived by; her step-father, Mac Johnston of Sarnia and by her sister-in-law, Pat Lapish of Courtright. She was predeceased by her parents, Doris Johnston and Bernard Lapish and by her brother, Rick Lapish.
Carol was a retiree of Lanxess, and some of the horses that she owned along with her husband were Snap Dragon, Ruby Raider and Kaleidoscope.
Family and friends are invited to join for a celebration of Carol’s life at the Corunna Legion 350 Albert St. Corunna on Wednesday, September 27 from 4-7 p.m. Cremation has already taken place and a private family memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna, 519-862-2845.
