Pugwash Racetrack will be holding a matinee card of harness racing this Saturday (September 24). First-race post time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

The organizing committee has hosted several programs over the last couple of years at the rural track, which is situated on Miller Road, nestled in the picturesque Village of Pugwash in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia

Race goers will be privy to a fun day with a fair-like atmosphere where fans get up-close and personal with the horses and their trainers and drivers.

The day always proves to be an expensive afternoon of fun harness racing, which is supported by the local horse community, including Clayton Stevens, Elaine Shortliffe, Ivan Jamieson, Jim Ripley, Scott and Justin Daniels and others. Ample parking and canteen facilities are available on site along with grandstand seating.

Additional entertainment will be provided by Gerald Langille of Wallace, who will be showing off the speed and talent of his handsome and affectionate miniature horses in between the races.
